The flight to South Africa

In the airI am writing this from the airplane and am currently on my way from Sydney to Johannesburg. Dad and I arrived two-and-a-half hours early at the Sydney airport, so I was hoping to get myself a seat in the emergency exit row for extra legroom. Unfortunately there were none left, but I was able to get a window seat towards the middle of the plane, where the turbulence is minimal. Lucky for me, I've got no-one sitting on my row, so I've got three seats and televisions to myself!

About an hour into the flight, I switched the TV over to a map showing the plane's flight path. Out of sheer coincidence, the plane was heading over Victoria right over the Latrobe Valley, where I managed to see Traralgon and Rosedale!

Right now the plane is south of Adelaide, about half way between the South Australian and Artarctic coastline. The flight has been going just over two hours and I have eleven hours to go.
